Visit Stough Canyon Nature Center & Wildwood Canyon Park.
Trailhead located above De Bell Golf Course in the Burbank Hills. Exit I-5 on Burbank Blvd, and proceed east until you dead end at Burbank High School. (You'll need to go around the High School) Left on Third street, Right on Delaware, and Right on Glenoaks Blvd. The first street on left is Walnut, take Walnut all the way to the top, you will past De Bell Golf Course on your right. Keep going until you reach the gate, several cars (NOTE: If no bike racks beware of possible hikers) Begin riding along side the golf course past the gate, on pavement for about 1/4 mile, the road soon becomes dirt and the climbing begins. Verdugo Mountain Hiking Trails - The trail is on the left. You can walk or mountain bike. Dogs must be on leash.
You can drive or walk down Wildwood Canyon road, there are picnic table along side the road. This trail is currently closed due to landslides caused by the heavy rainfall.
 With more than 22 parks totaling 2,199.57 acres, burbank has no shortage of recreation space.
Burbank facilities include: 2 municipal swimming pools, 20 tennis courts, 3 community/gymnasium facilities, 2 senior citizen centers 13 ballfields, 1 outdoor concert amphitheater, 1 municipal golf complex, including regulation 18 holes - 113.29 acres, driving range, 3-par course, 9-hole course.
Abraham Lincoln Park: 300 N Buena Vista Street Compass Treet Park: 601 S Lake Ave Bel Aire Park:1750 Bel Aire Dr - Bel Aire & Cambridge St. This park is solely a baseball diamond, nestled above the residential section on the hill. Brace Canyon Park: 2800 Haven Way: (818) 238-5300 - Haven Way and Scott Rd. This park is also on the hill and has grassy slopes with scattered shaded picnic areas. An excellent play area for the kids, boasting a self retracting zip-line. Facilities include picnic grounds, restroom bldg, children's playground, 4 lighted tennis courts, 2 lighted softball fields, and 1 lighted football/multipurpose field. BBQ in covered area behind restroom. De Bell Golf Course: 1500 Walnut Ave.: (818) 845-0022 - A course with few sand traps and no water hazards. It's mainly a straight layout but has many doglegs and is a quite hilly, mountainous layout. Designed by William F. Bell and William H. Johnson.Holes: 18, Yardage: 5610/5412, Par: 71/73, Rating: 67.4/72.9, Slope: 108/126. Johnny Carson Park: 400 S. Bob Hope Dr.: (818) 238-5300 - Bob Hope Dr. and Olive Ave. Adjacent to the NBC studios and St. Joseph's Medical Center. Facilities include Picnic grounds, stream bed, play area, restroom bldg., outdoor exercise equipment. Ralph Foy Park: 3200 W. Victory Blvd: (818) 845-0960 or (818) 238-5300 - West Victory Blvd. and Hollywood Way. Adjacent to the Burbank northwest Library. Two lighted baseball diamonds, and a lighted roller hockey arena, 4 shuffleboard courts, 6 horseshoe courts, picnic grounds, restroom, children’s playground, branch library. George Izay Park / Olive Recreation Center: 1111 W. Olive Ave: (818) 238-5300 - West Olive Ave. and Mariposa St. The one with the jet airplane on display. Home to the Burbank on Parade Annual Carnival. Excellent play area, plenty of programs for the kids. Adjacent to the Joslyn Adult Center (shuffleboard). Facilities include 4 lighted softball fields, picnic grounds, restroom bldg, 2 lighted tennis courts, 2 handball courts, and Riggio playground (has rubberized floor material at child play lot allowing disabled access), BBQ. Maple Street Playground: 3820 W. Jeffries - Large public pool, the largest playground in Burbank, ten lighted tennis courts, an indoor gym, two lighted baseball diamonds. After school and summer day camp programs. BBQ's permitted. McCambridge Park: 1515 N. Glenoaks Blvd.: (818) 238-5300 - North Glenoaks Blvd. and Andover Dr. Includes a 50 meter swimming pool and locker rooms, 2 lighted softball fields, tennis center, outdoor basketball court, children's playground, lighted bocci courts, picnic grounds and veteran's memorial with rose garden. BBQs on site.

Pacific Park: 3715 Pacific Ave - A favorite for children's birthday parties. Approx. twenty picnic tables, covered gazebo picnic area (first come first serve), separate toddler/big kids playground equipment, tire swing, outdoor lighted tennis and basketball courts and baseball diamond. BBQ's permitted. Adjacent to cemetery and National Guard. Directly under take off pattern for Burbank Airport. Includes picnic grounds, restrooms, children's playground, 1 lighted softball field, covered patio, basketball court, tennis courts. Stough CanyonPark: 1335 Lockheed View Dr.: (818) 238-5300 - Lockheed View Dr. and Walnut Ave. Adjacent to the Starlight Bowl Amphitheater(Burbank's own outdoor amphitheater high a top the hill). An excellent park for a pre-show picnic. No children's play area. Picnic grounds, restroom bldg,. 1 BBQ on site.
